Çorum Ateşi is a snack obtained by coating normal yellow roasted chickpeas with a spicy sauce after they are passed through certain processes. As the name suggests, it is a snack belonging to the province of Çorum. However, it is possible to find it all over the country. It has a color one tone darker than normal yellow roasted chickpeas. A spicy sauce is clearly visible on its outer surface.
To briefly explain the production stages; high-quality chickpeas are carefully selected and separated. The separated chickpeas are dried in wood-fired ovens, then filled into sacks and left to rest. The chickpeas, which are rested for approximately 3 days, are roasted again for the second time. After this roasting process, they are spread on a flat surface and left to rest for about 20 days.
